Church of the Ascension Goes to Green Power
April 9, 2009Beginning in April 2009, the first month that consumers served by Dominion Virginia Power were offered the opportunity, the Church of the Ascension committed to buying 100% renewable energy. By making this decision we are supporting the development of renewable energy. The difference in cost is $0.015 per Kilowatt hour, which amounts to a less than $10 increase for an average monthly bill. We are committed to being good stewards of the earth. This was arranged by John Lord, our Treasurer. Please thank him the next time you see him for his committment to being a good steward, and for leading us all in this direction.
